BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Bobcats completed the weekend series sweep of the Saskatchewan Huskies 3-1 (20-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-21) in a match that was highlighted by a bizarre second set.

The second set included a red card to Bobcats head coach Russ Paddock, a point that was over-ruled by the head official and awarded to the Bobcats, and then 12 tie scores and five lead changes before the Bobcats took the set 26-24.

That set proved to be the turning point as the Bobcats didn’t look back, taking the third and fourth sets consecutively.

Sam Tuivai had a match-high 17 kills for the Bobcats, while fellow New Zealander Ben Glue finished with 15 kills and Paul Robidoux added 13 kills.

Braden McLean led the way for the Huskies with 13 kills. Matthew Busse added 10 digs.
