BRANDON, MB – It was destined to be an epic night, and the Brandon Bobcats delivered. After 46 years in the historic BU Gymnasium, the Bobcats came away with an emphatic 87-75 win in the final basketball game in the old facility.

In a game that featured 19 lead changes, the Bobcats ran away with it late in the fourth quarter, ending the contest on a 15-2 run, highlighted by a clutch three from Ilarion Bonhomme and a monster dunk from Donovan Gayle.

Bonhomme picked up a double-double (25 points, 10 assists), as did Ali-Mounir Benabdelhak (12 points, 10 rebounds). Kyle Vince finished with 16 points in his final home game as a Bobcat, while Gayle added 11 points and three steals in what was his final game in Brandon as well.

The Pronghorns were led by Daryl Cooper’s 22 points, while Dominyc Cooper picked up a double-double (13 points, 11 rebounds).

The win improves the Bobcats record to 7-11, but more importantly keeps their playoff hopes alive as they now sit just one game back of Calgary and Manitoba who both have records of 8-10. Lethbridge falls to 9-9 on the season.
