BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Bobcats got their fifth straight win in league play as they made quick work of the UBCO Heat. The Heat battled in the second and third sets, but the Bobcats put it away in three straight 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-22).
Rookie Ben Glue continued his stellar first season, finishing with 13 kills and five digs. Fellow New Zealander Sam Tuivai added 12 kills, a service ace, and one stuff block. The Bobcats had an efficient attack, finishing the contest at 32.1% percent as a team.
Nate Speijer had his best 3-set match of the season, finishing with 19 kills and six digs. Preston Tucker had a match-high 30 set assists for the Heat.
