SASKATOON – The CIS #4 Saskatchewan Huskies tallied 29 points in the first quarter en route to an 81-42 victory over the visiting Brandon University Bobcats Friday night at the PAC.

Four Huskies tallied double-digits on the night with Kiera Lyons scoring a game-high 16 points. Mary Hipperson added 12, while Kabree Howard and rookie Kelsey Trulsrud chipped in 11 each. Rookie post Dalyce Emmerson recorded a game-high 16 rebounds.

Aimee Johnston was the best on the night for the Bobcats netting 13 points. Kaela Cranston nabbed five rebounds for the Bobcats.

With the win the Huskies improve to 10-4 on the season and extend their winning streak to five games. Brandon is still winless at 0-15.

The teams meet again on Saturday, 6:15 p.m. at the PAC.
