SASKATOON – Fifth-year forward Michael Lieffers led the CIS #5 Saskatchewan Huskies with a double-double in a 89-70 win over the Brandon Bobcats on Saturday at the PAC.

Ali Mounir was the best on the court for the Bobcats tallying a game-high 25 points and 13 rebounds. Kyle Vince chipped in 15 points and Donovan Gale added another 14.

Lieffers hit 10-of-12 field goals for 23 points and added a game-high 13 rebounds. With the rebounds, Lieffers passed the 1,000 mark. He becomes just the fifth player in school history to record 1,000 overall points and boards. Duncan Jones added 21 points.

The Huskies hit the road to face the Winnipeg Wesmen next weekend, while Brandon returns home to host the Lethbridge Pronghorns in what will be the final games to be played in the BU Gymnasium.
