BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Bobcats bounced to an early lead, and didn’t look back after that, beating the Regina Cougars 96-73 in the first game back from the holiday break for both teams.
The Bobcats out-scored the Cougars 31-19 in the first quarter, thanks to 13 points in the first from Kyle Vince. The fifth-year forward finished with a game-high 27 points on 12-18 shooting. Rookie guard Ilarion Bonhomme finished with 15 points, while Jordan Reaves added 14 points.
Sterling Nostedt had a team-high 15 points for the Cougars, while Connor Burns added 13 points and six rebounds.
The two teams will meet again Saturday in the BU Gymnasium at 8:00 pm.
