PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE – In their final pre-season contest the Bobcats dropped a three-set match to the Winnipeg Wesmen 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-20).
First-year left-side Ben Glue finished the contest with a team-high 11 kills, while Paul Robidoux and Jon Sloane added 10 kills each.
Sloane also finished with four blocks and Jeremy Stubler and Robidoux each had three blocks.
This was the third time the two teams met in the pre-season, and now the Bobcats are preparing to start the regular season on October 28 when they will travel to Winnipeg to play the University of Manitoba Bisons.
