Bobcat Men's Volleyball: 1
University of Calgary: 3

CALGARY – The Bobcats men’s volleyball team had its season come to a close following a 3-1 (25-22, 25-23, 35-37, 25-18) loss to the Calgary Dinos Sunday afternoon. The Bobcats fought off nine match points in the third set alone, but could not stave off elimination in the fourth and deciding set.

The Bobcats set up the deciding match after a commanding 3-0 win Saturday, but the Dinos used home court advantage on Sunday to win, earning a spot at Canada West Final Four and the CIS national championship to be held March 2-4 at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.

Sam Tuivai closed out his first season as a Bobcat with an impressive performance, notching 24 kills, hitting at 52.8% on the match. Jon Sloane had 15 kills while Paul Robidoux had 12 kills, as the two fifth-years played their final matches as Bobcats. Garrett Popplestone had a career-high 59 assists.
