BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Bobcats knew they had a tough test in the visiting Trinity Western Spartans, and the Bobcats rose to the challenge winning 3-0 (25-22, 31-29, 25-16).
The second set was a marathon, that saw three lead changes before Brandon put away three straight points to win the set, including two kills from sophomore Meaghan Robertson.
Robertson finished with a match-high 16 kills, while fellow second-years Chloe Reimer added 13 kills and Victoria Dakin put up 12 kills.
Alicia Perrin led the way for the Spartans finishing with 13 kills.
The two teams will meet again at 6:00 pm on Saturday in the BU Gymnasium.
