BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Bobcats battled in all four sets of their match against the Trinity Western Spartans, but could only close out one of them, dropping the contest 3-1 (25-21, 24-26, 25-23, 25-17).
Rudy Verhoeff had a team-high 15 kills, while Steven Marshall had 14 kills and Nicholas Del Bianco contributed 11 kills for the Spartans. Trinity Western also had a solid blocking game, putting up 24 total blocks while the Bobcats had just eight.
Ben Glue had a team-high 15 kills for the Bobcats, extending his team lead to 92 kills on the season. Jon Sloane added 13 kills with only two errors on the night.
The win gives the Spartans a sparkling record of 4-0 while the Bobcats sit at 1-5.
