BRANDON, MB – The Bobcats women’s volleyball team made it two in a row by beating the Trinity Western Spartans 3-1 (24-26, 25-23, 25-23, 25-21) Saturday night in Brandon.

Led by sophomore Tori Dakin, in what was arguably her biggest match as a Bobcat, the ‘Cats battled the Spartans all night, before going on a 7-3 run to end the match. Dakin finished with 12 kills and just one error to go with eight digs. Jaryn Ruether and Meaghan Robertson added 11 kills each for the Bobcats.

Alicia Perrin had a match-high 16 kills for the Spartans, while Kelsi French added 11 kills and Royale Richardson had 10 kills.

The win improves the Bobcats record to 2-4, while the Spartans now have a record of 2-2. Up next for the Bobcats is a weekend series on the road against the Calgary Dinos, while the Spartans will look to bounce back as they host the Regina Cougars.
