Bobcat Women's Basketball: 35
BRANDON, MB – The Manitoba Bisons came away with a 66-35 win over the Brandon Bobcats Friday night. The Bobcats kept it close in the first half trailing by six points at the break, but then the Bisons ran away with it in the second half, holding the ‘Cats to 11 points in the last two quarters.
Mubo Ilelaboye led the way for the Bisons finishing with 14 points. Vanessa De Vries added 12 points.
Bobcats rookie Aimee Johnston finished with a double-double, including a game-high 15 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Four Bobcats finished with double-digit rebounds, as Raisa Rybinski had 11 boards, while Kaela Cranston and Jaynell Gillett each had 10.
The teams meet again on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. in the BU Gymnasium.
