BRANDON, MB – The Brandon Bobcats got a big 98-91 win over the Manitoba Bisons Saturday night, earning a split in the weekend series. Led by rookie point guard Ilarion Bonhomme’s 28 points, the Bobcats led in all four quarters despite a solid effort from the Bisons to get within three points in the final minute.

Bonhomme had an impressive night, playing 39 minutes, and adding nine assists and only one turnover on top of his 28 points. Fifth-year captain Kyle Vince also had a strong performance, finishing with 18 points and three steals.

Jonas Huertas had the hot-hand for the Bisons, hitting eight of 12 shots from beyond the arc, finishing the contest with a game-high 31 points.

The win improves the Bobcats record to 2-4, while the Bisons share the same record of 2-4. Up next for the Bobcats is a weekend road-trip to play Thompson Rivers and UBCO next weekend, while the Bisons will play the Winnipeg Wesmen.
