The Brandon Bobcats were routed by the visiting Calgary Dinos in the 2011 Canada West season opener for both teams. Calgary jumped to an early lead and didn’t look back finishing with an 85-27 score.
The Bobcats played with a short bench all night, but managed to maintain energy for all four quarters. Leading the way for the Bobcats was rookie Aimee Johnston, finishing with eight points and eight rebounds. Jaynell Gillett finished with six points and 10 rebounds.
The two teams will meet again Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm in the BU Gymnasium.
