The Bobcats women’s basketball team tipped off the 2011 pre-season with a big 97-56 win on the road against the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers.
Leading the charge for the ‘Cats was third-year forward Jaynell Gillett who put up 33 points and 14 rebounds. Rookie forward Aimee Johnston finished one rebound shy of a double-double (18 points, nine rebounds).
This was the first contest of the CMU Holiday Inn Winnipeg Airport West tournament.
